February and March

Hello Lovelies! It's been way too long since I've blogged. Between flying the friendly skies and trying to plan for the near future (more on that later!) it's time to spring back into my weekly post!

Since my last post, I've been working mostly, but have had a pinch of time to travel! Between the beginning and middle of February, I worked non-stop and didn't get to fly to any exciting places. I wouldn't count Connecticut, Pennsylvania or North Carolina as exciting.  Below is a picture of me at Pittsburg airport, where there stands a transformer bridge that consists of all the bridges in Pittsburg.

Even though I had to work most of February, my friend Kathy came into Houston one evening and was passing through. She was able to stay the night and I was able to spend a few hours with her. It was nice enjoying my evening off in the mist of all the work chaos!

Towards the end of February, life was more exciting as I was able to travel a bit more. It was nice to finally be off after working two solid months in a row. I flew to Florida and met up with some friends at Disney World. We had a great time! We had breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at O'Hanas. I also had the chance to exchange hugs with Cinderella's Mice and explore the beginning stages of the International Flower and Garden Show at Epcot.

While at Disney, I filmed a big chunk of my vacation with my iPhone 6s and will have it on Youtube by the end of this month! I look like a hot mess, but had fun filming it.

After Disney, I went home for a week and spent some time with my family. I didn't do much other than run to the food market several times and babysit for my brother and sister-in-law.  Between working the whole month of February and running around at Disney non-stop,  I pretty much napped the entire time I was home! It would have been nice to have done more, but the next time I come home, I will be more productive.

I went to Target with my family and was intrigued by the cute home collection by Target. My nephew enjoyed his new bear friend in the boys decor section. The PillowFort kids bedding collection is really cute, but I'm disappointed that most of the bedding is polyester. The quality of polly is cheap and gets hot and sticky to sleep on. I really wish Target would bring back cotton into their bedding. I guess I'll have to hold off and find cotton bedding elsewhere.

After my visit to Florida, I flew back to Houston and worked for four days. I had a layover in Atlanta on my trip and was able to have lunch with my Aunt and Uncle. This is one of the perks of being a flight attendant.

Although the lunch date with my aunt and uncle was planned, I ran into my cousin at the airport by sheer chance and would have ran into her regardless. It was crazy, but I'm so glad we were able to catch up!

After working for four days, I flew to Albuquerque to visit my best friend.  I ended up having some trouble trying to get there since I was a standby passenger. There was a flight that cancelled that morning which caused all the passengers to roll over to the next few ABQ flights. I sat in the airport for most of the day and wasn't able to get there until early evening. Having flight benefits is awesome, but I'm not always able to get where I want when I want.

We ended up having a good time and went shopping, met up with friends and enjoyed dinner and drinks.

I flew straight from Albuquerque to Phoenix and spent a couple of days with my friend Holly. We window shopped, grocery shopped and spent time babysitting her granddaughter.  It doesn't sound like much, but I enjoyed spending time with her and her family. The views in Scottsdale are gorgeous and loved being surrounded by mountains.

Because my work has a base in Phoenix, I also managed to pick up some work in Phoenix while I was there and did an LA turn. I was able to snap this shot of the mountains in LA with low hanging clouds. It was a beautiful site.

I flew back to Houston last Tuesday from Phoenix and have been working basically since! I had last Saturday off and spent the day shopping with my roommate Cindy and her niece Victoria. They had to buy home goods for their new apartment. It was fun tagging along.

I ended up getting my hair cut off on Saturday because my hair was breaking off from a bleach job I received at the beginning of March. I went to a new person in Florida who left my color on too long. My hair was stretching and breaking! This was before:

I found an awesome hairdresser in Houston who listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. Although it is short, I love it! Unfortunately, by hair is not 100 percent like it was before the color job, so I'll just have to baby it until it grows out and then have the rest of the stretchy ends cut off.

This past Tuesday and today as I write this, I am in Bakersfield, California on a long layover. It's been nice to hang by the pool and window shop. I'm also trying to get back into working out when I can! I basically rest and catch up on work on my long layovers. Nothing exciting! Until next post. :)
