Seattle + Thanksgiving + Holiday Finds

Season Greetings! I've had more time off these past three weeks since starting as a Flight Attendant. Partly because I've been sick, but mainly because I was able to trade my schedule with other flight attendants and get more time off.

I said goodbye to Phoenix last week and flew into Dallas today. I will be working in Dallas for December. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Here's what has happened since my last post:

In late November, I took a trip to Seattle for a couple of days and was able to explore the city; including Pike's Market Place, Downtown Seattle and Seattle's Great Wheel. It has been one of my favorite cities to visit so far! It was also the first time I got to use my flight benefits for leisure. I highly recommend going to Seattle and staying in the downtown or Ballard area.

Although it was cold, I was told winters in the pacific northwest are more moderate and less chilly than in the northeast. But it was still pretty chilly! (30-50 F)

When I flew to Phoenix from Seattle, my ears started flaring up and ended up getting an ear infection.  I was told by the doctor to not fly for a few days as it would risk hurting my ear.  I took a sick leave and ended up being stuck in Phoenix (at my November work base) since I couldn't fly.

But everything worked out, as I ended up having Thanksgiving and all the days around it off. I spent Thanksgiving with my friends and their family in Phoenix. We had a great time!

I did not venture out on Black Friday like the rest of America did. However, I did buy a makeup holiday set from Sephora that was a killer deal! It is called Tarte: Light Of The Party Eye Kit.  I also took advantage of Kate Spade's holiday sale and bought this Cedar Street Harmony Crossbody for work. It was on sale.

I have everything I need and am currently shopping for my parents, niece and nephews. I'm not planning to buy for anyone else, because it gets to costly and I like to treat Christmas more like Thanksgiving.

I'm curious to know what is on your holiday wish list and great deals you have found this holiday season. Leave a comment below.  :)

God Bless! Sarah Ashley
